MINI Electric fun premium and zero-emission

There’s never been a better moment to take delivery of a luxurious MINI Electric 3-door compact car. Easy Drive Financing offers monthly installments as low as RM1,646, and prospective purchasers can choose to finance at a straight line rate with an interest rate of 0.98%.

In addition, customers can receive a complimentary MINI wallbox charger (worth RM4,760.08) from MINI Malaysia, along with a year of limitless public charging through Jomcharge and ChargEV chargers around the country.

The MINI Electric exhales with its signature stylish and expressive exterior design with elegant frameless windows, a premium and comfy interior, and the British brand’s well-known go-kart fun.

The MINI Electric’s remarkable agility and fun to drive make the fast torque delivery (270 Nm) of a battery electric vehicle (BEV) even more alluring.

We recently took a test drive with Carsifu.my, and we were impressed with their one-pedal driving technology, which releases energy when you take your foot off the throttle to generate braking and deceleration as well as powering the high-voltage battery. step on.

When maneuvering through traffic or on crowded highways, the automobile can stop completely without requiring the driver to step on the brake pedal.

There is a switch in the middle of the dash that allows you to change the energy recovery level from the usual High to Low, which results in less deceleration reaction and more rolling momentum.

There are four driving modes available for the MINI Electric: Sport, Mid, Green, and Green Plus.

Although we were occasionally pleased by the more direct steering and quick throttle response in Sport mode, we mostly drove in the default comfort-oriented Medium setting.

We didn’t use the Green and Green Plus driving modes, which are designed to provide more trip autonomy, throughout the 4 days and 227 kilometers we had the car.

Without trying to save battery life by turning down the air conditioning or driving slowly, we covered 71 km on the first day of driving on a combination of freeways and city streets.

Like all BEVs, this all-electric MINI can complete the century sprint in only 7.3 seconds and has virtually silent operation thanks to the absence of ICE (internal combustion engine) noise and vibrations.

The MINI Electric’s lively sprint and agile handling around turns engender a constant desire to feel its lively steering and cornering stability.

When we started charging the car overnight with the type 2 connection and a 3-point power source, the battery charge level had decreased to 54% and the projected remaining range was 78 km.

The automobile battery was fully charged early the following morning after breakfast, with an estimated 153 km of remaining range.

It should be noted that, according to the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure, the MINI Electric has a range of up to 232 kilometers.

To attain the 232 km range on a single charge, even if the WLTP measuring process is thought to be more accurate, it would actually be necessary to stick to the Green Plus operating mode and drive in an energy-efficient manner.

Nevertheless, the 153 kilometers (while using Medium driving mode) were more than sufficient for our everyday needs.

Possessing a MINI Electric allows us to indulge ourselves in a luxurious interior with a Harman Kardon Hifi audio system that provides crystal-clear music, all while enjoying the thrill of driving.

The front sports seats hug our bodies in a comfortable way, and the polished metal surfaces and black leatherette upholstery give the interior a premium feel.

When the automobile starts, a motorized HUD (Head Up Display) that shows the speed limit for traffic, the speed of the vehicle, and the navigation route rises from the dashboard in front of the driver.

On the dashboard, a big circular central dial with LED rings houses a touchscreen panel that provides easy access to the MINI Connected applications, navigation system with route assistance, and infotainment menu.

Not everything in this futuristic model is controlled by a touch screen; for example, the air conditioning, vehicle start/stop, parking sensor display, energy recovery settings, and driving modes are all still operated by distinctive, traditional buttons and toggle switches.
