Don’t delay govt projects approved under KLSP 2040 says Anwar

Malaysia Lumpur: According to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (photo), there shouldn’t be any delays in government projects, particularly during the year-end time that was authorized under the Kuala Lumpur Structural Plan 2040 (KLSP 2040).

The Kuala Lumpur mayor was given two weeks by the prime minister to produce the required periodic report on the execution of the KLSP 2040 projects.

“It will be postponed till the following year if not. This is due to rumors that individuals would take vacations in the middle of December. It’s okay if you wish to take a vacation. But simultaneously, a regular report needs to be released in December, according to Anwar.

During the Kuala Lumpur Structural Plan 2040 (PSKL 2040) unveiling on Thursday, November 9, he made this statement in his speech.

The comprehensive framework known as PSKL2040 takes into account both the present and the future, taking into account factors such as infrastructure, economic development, population shifts, and lifestyle and climatic change.

Minister of Communications and Digital Fahmi Fadzil, along with other MPs from the Federal Territories, were present at the ceremony, along with Anwar’s spouse, Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, who is also a Bandar Tun Razak MP.

Anwar, the Finance Minister, stated that government projects should be implemented efficiently, not just for KLSP 2040 but also on a nationwide scale.

“We desire a prompt decision-making process across the nation, not only in Kuala Lumpur. Even though approvals are coming through quickly, we are falling behind some of our neighbors, such as Vietnam,” he continued.

According to him, the KLSP2040 should also take into account recent advancements, including the significance of the energy transition, green sustainability, and problems with electric vehicles (EVs), among other things.

Furthermore, this recently announced plan is subject to change. We’re open to feedback, and we’ll change as necessary to meet your needs moving forward,” Anwar stated.
